We were approached by ‘Cheltenham Borough Council’ and the ‘Friends of Imperial Square’ to restore the original plinth stones and reinstate new railings to match what would have been in place originally before they were removed for the war effort in the early 1940’s. You can see by the photos the huge amount of effort that was undertaken by my team to remove the stone plinths so that we could repair them and reinstall them ready for the new railings.
The end results for the railings and stone plinths speak for themselves as you view the photos.
Here at Stokes Welding we are very proud to have worked with Cheltenham Borough council on this project and to achieve these end results.
